Rue-thless Baseball

As the MSUB hitting coach, I began to sculpt the approach that I am now offering to all of my athletes. While at MSUB we were able to dethrone the GNAC champs Western Oregon and win the GNAC for the first time in MSUB history as well as ending a dynasty run of 14 straight GNAC titles by WOU.

MCBL Champs!

I would first like to thank you cordially for visiting my site, without your support none of this would be possible.

My name is Austin Rue and I am the owner and operator of Rue-thless Baseball. I have been in love with the game of baseball since as long as I can remember. I take a lot of pride in what Montana has to offer for baseball and believe that there are too many players who don't get their deserved shot.

I began my career at Miles Community College, in Miles City, MT.

As Coach Bishop was offered the head coaching job with MSUB, I was recruited to Billings and transferred with him to MSUB as a sophomore.

MCC - Regional Championship

Drawing upon playing experience, and constant study/analysis of the human body, I have begun to shape an approach and a way to teach the positions within the swing that make it successful.

This approach and technique is what I would personally like to offer to every one of my clients. I pride myself on my craft, and believe every player will come out of each session with a different perspective of baseball as well as a drive to get better away from each lesson.

At MSUB I started as a sophomore at third base and eventually made the transition to the outfield for my junior and senior year.

As a senior I flirted with the GNAC league record - 31 successful games with a hit, but fell short with 27 consecutive games (second in GNAC History) and setting a new MSUB record.

After my playing career I began to find a new love in coaching and helping players unlock their full potential.

My collegiate coaching career began with the Casper Cutthroats, who were part of the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League (MCBL). As an assistant coach with the Cutthroats we finished the season on the top of the MCBL and clinched the championship in Casper in front of our home crowd, with an overall record of 31-14.

After the 2014 summer, I continued my coaching career by signing on with MSUB as an assistant coach for the 2014-2015 season, working with outfield and extensively with our hitters.
